CNOOC Uganda Limited, a subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), is seeking a Contracts Coordinator to support the development of oil fields in Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating contracts and procurement activities to ensure timely, compliant, cost-effective, and efficient delivery of procurement and contracting requirements. The Contracts Coordinator will report to the Contracts and Procurement Supervisor. CNOOC International is one of the largest oil and gas companies in Uganda's energy sector.

The Contracts Coordinator will be responsible for conducting prequalification exercises, establishing and maintaining an approved bidders list, preparing bid packages, leading bid evaluations and clarifications, making contract award recommendations, facilitating contract negotiations and execution, and administering and maintaining contracts. The role requires extensive knowledge of procurement and supply chain management, excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills, and good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading the resolution of contractual disputes with contractors, engaging Legal Counsel where necessary, and supporting the Contract Manager in preparing procurement and contracting plans, correspondence, presentations, and statistical reports. The Contracts Coordinator will facilitate and coordinate meetings with end-users and contractors, acting as a liaison between parties to address contractual matters.
