The 5th edition of the International Conference of Conquerors and Victors (CICV) was officially launched on October 27, 2026, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The conference, themed "How can the Conqueror Victor reign in this life?", aims to deepen Christians' understanding of spiritual authority and encourage them to affirm their faith and be aware of the challenges facing the world. The event, which runs until October 31, is being held at the headquarters of the International Evangelization Center/African Internal Mission (CIE/MIA).
In his inaugural message, Pastor Mamadou Philippe Karambiri emphasized the importance of faith, vigilance, and exercising spiritual authority. He urged Christians not to passively succumb to life's challenges but to arm themselves spiritually to face difficulties and assume their responsibilities. Karambiri based his teaching on 2 Corinthians 2:11, highlighting the need for Christians to discern the realities surrounding them and not be caught off guard by trials.
Karambiri stressed that faith is not just an internal conviction but also an active attitude towards life's circumstances. He cited Ephesians 6:11-13, emphasizing that Christians must equip themselves with spiritual armor to overcome challenges. The pastor also referenced Matthew 6:9, Romans 14:17, and Romans 5:17, underscoring the role of spiritual authority in a believer's life. He used the illustration of a policeman stopping a large truck to demonstrate that authority is not solely based on physical strength but also on the power vested in an individual.
The conference also highlighted the importance of every Christian's role within the Church. Karambiri referenced 1 Corinthians 12:10, describing the Church as the body of Christ, where each member has a vital role to play. He encouraged believers to look beyond their denominational affiliations and understand their place in the body of Christ. Karambiri shared his personal experience, stating that he did not attend a Bible school but rather "the school of the Bible," emphasizing the value of every Christian, regardless of their position.
Karambiri's message also focused on faith in God's power and discerning the signs of the times. He referenced Job 38 and 42, encouraging participants to deepen their understanding of God's sovereignty and not limit His actions to human reasoning. The pastor warned against unbelief in God's Word and expanded his reflection to the turmoil and tensions in the world, urging believers to develop their observation and discernment skills.
The conference aims to promote spiritual growth and awareness among Christians. Karambiri's message had a civic dimension, urging individuals to take responsibility and act in the face of realities threatening their environment. He emphasized that protecting life and individual responsibility concerns all segments of society, including political and military leaders.
The CICV 2026 event has brought together Christians from various backgrounds, providing a platform for spiritual growth and development.
