Christopher Ward is commemorating the 15th anniversary of its first jumping hour complication with the release of the C1 Jump Hour XV, a limited edition watch limited to 300 pieces. This new model is part of the Atelier collection and features a redesigned jumping hour display. The C1 Jump Hour XV boasts a 39mm diameter case made of 316L stainless steel, with a thickness of 13.10mm and a lug-to-lug length of 47.33mm.

The watch features a sapphire crystal with a vintage-inspired design and a transparent case back that allows for a view of the movement. The dial is guilloched with a circular pattern created using a femtosecond laser, which provides a more precise and deeper relief than the original model. The time is displayed through a jumping hour aperture with a black Roman numeral and a peripheral minute track with Arabic numerals.

The C1 Jump Hour XV is powered by the JJ01 caliber, an automatic movement based on the Sellita SW200-1 with an added jumping hour module. This module consists of 36 components and is designed to distribute the energy required for the jumping hour display over a longer period, ensuring a smooth and stable operation. The movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a 38-hour power reserve.

Christopher Ward offers the C1 Jump Hour XV with either a leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet. The watch is priced at €2,350 with the leather strap and €2,540 with the metal bracelet. The limited edition model is a significant addition to the Atelier collection, showcasing the brand's expertise in creating unique and complex timepieces.

The JJ01 caliber is a significant component of the C1 Jump Hour XV, demonstrating Christopher Ward's ability to combine a proven mechanical base with a custom-developed module for a distinctive display. The movement's precision is rated between -5 and +12 seconds per day, ensuring accurate timekeeping.

The C1 Jump Hour XV's design is characterized by a mix of polished and brushed surfaces, with curved flanks and worked horns that create a visually appealing effect. The watch's readability is enhanced by the contrast between the blue minute hand, silver dial, and black markings.

The release of the C1 Jump Hour XV marks a significant milestone for Christopher Ward, celebrating 15 years since the introduction of its first in-house complication. The limited edition watch is a testament to the brand's commitment to innovation and craftsmanship in watchmaking.
