The Tinubu-Uba Sani Support Organisation (TUSO) Christian stakeholders recently held a meeting in Ikara, Kaduna state, where they made a resolution to work towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna state governor, Senator Uba Sani. The meeting, attended by the leadership of the Kaduna chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), was held on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The meeting was attended by various notable individuals, including the chairmen of CAN from the 9 local government areas from the northern part of Kaduna state. Others in attendance included members of the Southern Kaduna Leadership Elders' Council (SKLC), Chairman of the 63 Community Development Associations (CDAs), the Deputy Speaker of the Kaduna state House of Assembly, and Counsellor (Political) to Kaduna state governor.
The group, in a communiqué signed by the convener and chairman, Kachia LGA, Hon. Dr Manzo Daniel Maigari, and Director-General, TUSO, Hon. Matthew Kaku, resolved to work in unity to ensure the two leaders secure landslide victories during the forthcoming elections. They also agreed to form a national body for the entire 19 Northern states to identify with the objectives of standing up for the Christians.
The group lauded the performance profiles of President Tinubu and governor Uba Sani, praising the nomination of a Christian deputy governorship candidate and the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences (FUAS) Kachia, as well as the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Kafanchan. These achievements were seen as significant milestones in the development of the region.
The stakeholders resolved to mobilise Christians from all over the Northern States, especially the North-West, in terms of voting capacity for both President Tinubu and Governor Sani. This move is aimed at ensuring the victory of the APC presidential flag bearer and Kaduna state APC governorship candidate in the 2027 polls.
The group's decision to extend its reach beyond Kaduna state to the entire 19 Northern states is a significant development, indicating a broader strategy to promote the interests of Christians in the region.
