The Chadian government, in collaboration with the Moroccan embassy, has launched a new initiative to support top Chadian students. On October 2, 2026, a ceremony was held to welcome the first batch of students who will benefit from 250 scholarships offered by Morocco. This move aims to enhance university cooperation between the two countries and provide opportunities for Chadian students to pursue higher education in Morocco.

The scholarships cover various fields, including engineering sciences, computer science and digital technology, health sciences, and social sciences. Out of the 250 scholarships, 200 are for university and technical training, while 50 are for vocational training. The students will pursue their studies in Moroccan universities and vocational training institutions. This initiative is expected to strengthen the relationship between Chad and Morocco in the education sector.

The Moroccan ambassador to Chad emphasized the importance of the new inter-state committee, which will be responsible for improving the management and execution of Moroccan scholarships offered to Chad. The committee aims to optimize the use of the scholarship quota, enhance student follow-up, and consolidate cooperation relations between the two countries. The ambassador also reminded the students of the need to comply with Moroccan administrative requirements.

The Chadian Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Sitack Yombatina Beni, encouraged the scholarship recipients to make their families and country proud. He emphasized that the scholarships are both an opportunity and a responsibility. The minister advised the students to respect Moroccan laws, customs, and values, cultivate solidarity, and be mindful of their future contribution to Chad's development.

The ceremony marked the arrival of the first batch of 103 students out of the 250 beneficiaries. The event is part of a new dynamic of university cooperation between N'Djamena and Rabat. The cooperation aims to provide Chadian students with opportunities for higher education and training in Morocco, while promoting cultural exchange and understanding between the two nations.

The scholarship program is a significant development in the education sector, providing opportunities for Chadian students to acquire skills and knowledge in various fields. The program is also expected to contribute to the development of Chad by producing skilled and educated professionals who can contribute to the country's growth and progress.
