The Cameroonian government has taken a step towards decentralizing the management of public agents with the launch of the "Aigles" application in the Littoral region. An atelier was organized on October 22-23 at the regional delegation of the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reform (Minfopra) in Yassa to strengthen the capacities of users of this application. The application aims to improve the management of public agents' careers and salaries.

The "Aigles" application was launched in January 2025 but was initially only accessible at the central level, concerning only public agents managing human resources at the central level. However, a significant number of public agents work in the regions and had to have their dossiers treated at the central level, which posed a risk of congestion. According to Alain Zoah, regional delegate of Minfopra for the Littoral, the application has now been decentralized to allow agents to initiate and manage their careers at the regional level.

The atelier aimed to train users on the various features of the application, including the treatment of career acts initiated or signed in the regions, consultation and follow-up of a career dossier, and attribution of habilitations to actors in human resource management in the region. The event was part of a nationwide launch of the application in the 10 regional capitals. The decentralization of the application is expected to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public agent management.

The "Aigles" application is considered a revolution in the management of public agents' careers and salaries. It is expected to reduce congestion and delays in the treatment of dossiers and improve the overall management of human resources in the public sector. The application will also enable the government to have real-time data on public agents and make informed decisions.

The launch of the "Aigles" application in the Littoral region is part of the government's efforts to modernize the public service and improve its efficiency. The application is expected to be rolled out in other regions in the coming months. The government has emphasized the importance of the application in improving the management of public agents and providing better services to citizens.

The atelier was attended by users of the application from various regions, who were trained on the technical aspects of the application and its various features. The training aimed to ensure that users are equipped with the necessary skills to effectively use the application and manage public agents' careers and salaries.

The decentralization of the "Aigles" application is expected to have a positive impact on the management of public agents in Cameroon. It will enable the government to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public agent management and provide better services to citizens. The application is a significant step towards modernizing the public service and improving its efficiency.
