The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Cairo University recently hosted an awareness and training event for the "Hengamla" foundation and the "Plant Your Tree" initiative, under the slogan "A Green Land for a Sustainable Future". This event was held in line with national efforts to promote environmental sustainability and support the presidential initiative to plant 100 million trees. He praised the support of Dr. Abdel Aziz Kansoua, Minister of Higher Education, and Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, for providing such opportunities for university students.

He emphasized that the faculty considers sustainability as an integral part of its community message and that building a person aware of environmental issues is no less important than building their scientific and academic capabilities.
The event also witnessed the participation of Dr. Faysal Salib, Deputy of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, who emphasized the faculty's support for initiatives that contribute to transforming the culture of sustainability into a practical practice. He also pointed out that increasing green spaces within the faculty represents an investment in human health, environment, and quality of life.
Moreover, Engineer Mohamed Qabtane, President of the "Hengamla" foundation, expressed his happiness with the cooperation with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Cairo University, emphasizing that the initiative aims not only to plant trees but also to instill values of belonging, responsibility, and environmental awareness among young people.
