Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber attended the graduation ceremony of the first class of May University, which included the faculties of Engineering, Politics, Economics, and Business Administration. The ceremony was held at the Manara International Conference Center and was also attended by former Egyptian Prime Minister Engineer Ibrahim Mahlab, Dr. Naguib Jalal, head of May University's board of trustees, and Dr. Mahab Al-Rafie, president of May University in Cairo.
Dr. Saber emphasized that May University represents a significant addition to Egypt's higher education system, noting that the graduation of its first class marks a distinguished occasion and the beginning of a new era in university education. He added that the university aims to provide a model of education that combines academic knowledge and practical application, preparing graduates with the skills to compete and participate in the development process.
The governor highlighted the importance of May University as one of the new universities striving to provide a modern educational model. He also stressed that this aligns with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to develop the higher education system, improve education quality, and build a capable Egyptian individual who can cope with future changes in line with Egypt's 2030 vision.
Dr. Saber pointed out that education is no longer just a means to obtain a degree but has become a fundamental pillar in building a modern state and a key axis for achieving sustainable development. He emphasized that education should prepare cadres capable of innovation and creativity, able to turn knowledge into real solutions and opportunities that serve society and the national economy.
