Cabo Verdean animator Jéssico Furtado has created a children's animated series called "Aventuras di Azul" (Adventures of Blue) in the Cape Verdean Creole language. The project began as a short animation inspired by the country's national football team's journey and the dream of seeing Cabo Verde reach the biggest stages. Furtado's goal is to educate children to continue dreaming and believing in themselves.

The first episode of "Aventuras di Azul," titled "Sonhu Di Jovem Tubaron Azul" (Dream of Young Blue Shark), focuses on themes such as friendship, family, identity, courage, and persistence. The main message is to encourage Cape Verdean children to believe in their dreams. The episode is already available on YouTube on the Mitheria Studios channel, and the second episode is ready to be launched.

According to Furtado, the idea for the project emerged during the World Cup, where Cabo Verde had a good participation, and all Cape Verdeans were supporting the team. He created a short animated clip to support Cabo Verde, which led to the creation of the character Azul. The project has been growing, with the involvement of family, friends, and other talents who lend their voices to the characters.

The series is produced in Cape Verdean Creole, with Portuguese subtitles. Furtado mentioned that he started by inviting people to be part of the project, and although some were hesitant at first, they eventually joined in. The project has gained traction, and people are now eager to be part of it. Furtado plans to continue producing episodes, with a goal of creating a total of 10 episodes.

The character Azul is a young boy who dreams without limits and is inspired by Furtado's own son, Yenel. Azul is a friendly and kind-hearted character who wants to inspire children to believe in themselves. Furtado aims to explore more stories and themes in the series, which he believes will be a great way to inspire children over time.

Currently, the project has the support of Furtado's family, but he is confident that it will grow and attract more collaborators. The second episode of "Aventuras di Azul" will be launched soon, and the third episode is already in production. Furtado plans to continue working on the project, which he hopes will become a long-term effort to inspire and educate children.

Furtado's ultimate goal is to create a film based on the character Azul, but for now, he wants to focus on producing more episodes of the series. He believes that a series will allow him to explore more stories and themes, and to continue inspiring children over time. The project has already gained attention and support from the Cape Verdean community, and Furtado is excited to see its impact grow.
