The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d'Ivoire (CCI-CI) has announced a call for applications from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specializing in agro-food processing. This initiative is part of the TRISEG project, which will run from 2025 to 2030 and is supported by TFO Canada and funded by Global Affairs Canada. The project aims to promote the growth and development of SMEs in the agro-food sector.

The TRISEG project will focus on several key sectors, including cocoa and its derivatives, cashew nuts and their derivatives, cassava and its derivatives, shea butter and its derivatives, palm oil and its derivatives, fruits and their derivatives, natural cosmetics, and plantain bananas and their derivatives. SMEs operating in these sectors are encouraged to apply for the project. The CCI-CI has emphasized that special attention will be given to enterprises owned or managed by women and/or those from underrepresented groups.

The deadline for applications is set for December 20, 2026. This call for applications presents an opportunity for SMEs to showcase their businesses and seize new development prospects. According to the CCI-CI, the TRISEG project will provide support to selected SMEs, enabling them to enhance their competitiveness and contribute to the growth of Côte d'Ivoire's agro-food sector.

The agro-food processing sector is a significant contributor to Côte d'Ivoire's economy, and the government has been implementing initiatives to promote its development. The TRISEG project is one such initiative, aimed at supporting SMEs in the sector and helping them to overcome challenges such as limited access to finance, technology, and markets.

Donatien Kautcha, a representative of the CCI-CI, emphasized that the call for applications is an opportunity for SMEs to access new markets and technologies, and to improve their productivity and competitiveness. He encouraged SMEs to take advantage of this initiative and apply for the TRISEG project.

The TRISEG project is part of a broader effort to promote economic development and job creation in Côte d'Ivoire. The project is expected to have a positive impact on the country's economy, particularly in the agro-food sector, and to contribute to the achievement of the government's development goals.

SMEs that are interested in applying for the TRISEG project can obtain more information from the CCI-CI website or by contacting the organization directly. The CCI-CI has encouraged SMEs to submit their applications before the deadline to take advantage of this opportunity.
