Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire - Deputy Aka Desquith Ambroise of Tiémélékro has committed to supporting development initiatives in Kouadiotékro. He made this pledge during the ordinary general assembly of the Mutual for the Development of Kouadiotékro (MUDEK) on November 8, 2026, in Abidjan. The deputy aims to work closely with the community to boost Kouadiotékro's future.
Aka Desquith Ambroise has already begun working on some of the community's needs. He has initiated steps with the Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene, and Universal Health Coverage to secure an ambulance for the local health center. This move follows a visit to the center, highlighting the need for improved healthcare services.
In addition to the ambulance, the deputy plans to address the village's infrastructure needs. He intends to bring the issue of the access road to the attention of the Moronou Regional Council, leveraging his position as a regional councilor. This effort aims to enhance connectivity and accessibility for the community.
The president of MUDEK, Mardochée Kouassi, welcomed the deputy's commitment. He presented a report on the first year of his term, which included the restructuring of the Mutual, updating its texts, and launching a project to build a People's House. This infrastructure project is estimated to cost around 107 million Francs CFA and will provide a central hub for community activities.
The People's House project involves creating a multi-purpose space that will host the chefferie's offices, areas for young people, and community event spaces. Mardochée Kouassi explained that the current lack of a suitable venue hinders the organization of ceremonies and gatherings. The project is currently seeking funding, with contributions from locals and potential partnerships with public and private entities in 2027.
Mardochée Kouassi also highlighted social initiatives undertaken by MUDEK. These include calming tensions among the youth and planning the renewal of the youth bureau, with elections scheduled for November 22. Furthermore, the organization is working on training and economic empowerment projects for women and young people to enhance their autonomy and mitigate rural exodus.
Finally, Mardochée Kouassi called on the Kouadiotékro community to unite and rally behind local initiatives. He emphasized that the village's development depends on collective engagement and participation. With the support of Deputy Aka Desquith Ambroise and other stakeholders, the community aims to drive progress and improve living conditions for its residents.
