The C+ Creative Talents program, an initiative by CANAL+, has been launched in Gabon to provide a platform for African content creators to showcase their skills. The program aims to give visibility to African creators and offer them a framework for learning and professionalization. The first edition in Gabon brought together four young Gabonese content creators who underwent intensive training and workshops.

The three-day bootcamp, held in Libreville from October 21 to 23, provided participants with practical training in audiovisual creation and production. Antoine Koueli, a director and founder of Chen Zen View Productions, led the workshops. Additionally, Yannick Boka, an Ivorian content creator, conducted online masterclasses on professionalizing their craft. The participants were Brice Mezui, Kris Kouendzi, Jessy Moussialy, and Benjelia Mouketou.

A jury comprising Coralie La Louve, a content creator; Bernice Moussounda épouse Madoungou, Communication Manager at CANAL+ Gabon; and Burel Lewis, a professional photographer, evaluated the candidates. After deliberation, Kris Kouendzi was announced as the winner of the Gabonese edition of Creative Talents. His project and performances throughout the bootcamp secured his spot in the pan-African final.

The C+ Creative Talents program demonstrates CANAL+'s commitment to nurturing African creative talent. By providing a platform for young creators to learn from experienced professionals, the program aims to promote the emergence of African creative talent. Kris Kouendzi will represent Gabon in the pan-African final, where he will compete against winners from other participating countries.

The program offers participants the opportunity to gain expertise and visibility in the creative industry. Through the bootcamp and masterclasses, participants gained valuable insights into audiovisual production and content creation. The initiative also provides a networking opportunity for young creators to connect with professionals in the field.

According to Bernice Moussounda épouse Madoungou, Communication Manager at CANAL+ Gabon, the program is a significant step towards empowering African creative talent. The program's focus on practical training and mentorship will enable young creators to develop their skills and showcase their work on a larger platform.
