The second edition of the Sub-Regional Caravan of Patriotism and Citizen Participation (CSREP) is set to take place from November 12 to 30, 2026. The caravan will visit Kumasi and Accra in Ghana, Lomé in Togo, and Cotonou in Benin. This initiative is led by the Association Contribution of the People for Education and Health (CPES). The primary objectives of the caravan are to foster new collaborations between nations and promote the Revolutionary Progressive Party (RPP).

According to Kamanga Mathias Zida, coordinator of CPES and the caravan, this event is part of a citizen mobilization and solidarity effort. It aims to bring together Burkinabè living abroad and communities in the sub-region. The mission also responds to official invitations from the countries to be visited. During the trip, participants will engage in various activities, including the Days of Patriotic and Cultural Mobilization in Kumasi on November 14-15, 2026, and the Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation in Lomé on November 28-29, 2026.

Beyond the official events, the CSREP plans to undertake concrete actions for the benefit of local communities. These actions will include distributing school kits and health materials, visiting elderly people, detainees, and displaced compatriots in northern Togo. The caravan will also focus on economic, cultural, and citizen dialogue. This will involve showcasing Burkinabè cuisine and products, cultural and sports exchanges, and creating economic bridges between Burkinabè, Ghanaian, Togolese, and Beninese economic operators.

The first edition of the caravan, which connected Ouagadougou to Kumasi, was accomplished through voluntary contributions from members and proceeds from the sale of a manual titled "The Essential in CM." For the second edition, the challenge is greater, with three countries to visit and several hundred young revolutionaries to involve. The event aims to promote the RPP beyond Burkina Faso's borders and raise the national flag high.

A press conference was held on October 6, 2026, in Ouagadougou to inform the public about the event and appeal for support. The CPES is calling on individuals and organizations that value patriotism to accompany them in honoring these invitations. The goal is to make the event a success and promote the RPP in the sub-region.

The caravan's activities will be carried out in partnership with local communities and organizations. The event is expected to strengthen ties between Burkinabè and their counterparts in Ghana, Togo, and Benin. It will also provide an opportunity for cultural exchange and economic cooperation.

The CPES coordinator emphasized the importance of citizen participation and patriotism in the caravan's activities. The event aims to inspire a sense of national pride and unity among participants. The caravan's success will depend on the support of various stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations, and private sector entities.
