The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso (CCI-BF) recently launched the Integrated Support Program for Industrial Enterprises in Gaoua. This initiative aims to support 100 enterprises across various industrial sectors, including agro-industry, pharmaceutical production, and production of industrial inputs and consumables. The program, valued at 34.106 billion FCFA, will run from 2026 to 2028.
The program's primary objective is to contribute to the emergence of strong, efficient, and competitive industrial enterprises that can transform local resources, create jobs, and generate wealth. Zakaria Gyengani, representative of the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Handicrafts, emphasized that this initiative aligns with the new dynamic launched by the CCI-BF. He highlighted that the program will cover all regions of Burkina Faso.
The program's financing is based on a shared cost strategy between the CCI-BF, its partners, and the beneficiary enterprises. Selected projects will receive comprehensive support, including technical and organizational diagnostics, financial structuring assistance, personnel training, and improved supply systems. Additionally, the program will provide support in developing commercial and marketing strategies and securing financing.
The selection process will be conducted through open calls for applications from existing enterprises and new industrial project promoters. Applications will be evaluated based on the nature of the industrial activity, economic and financial viability, job creation potential, capacity to transform local raw materials, impact on regional development, and governance guarantees.
Bachirou Tera, President of the Regional Consular Delegation of Guiriko and representative of the private sector, welcomed the program's launch. He stated that this initiative addresses a long-standing expectation of economic operators who face difficulties accessing financing. Tera emphasized that the program's support will enable enterprises to better valorize local products and increase production capacities.
The CCI-BF has invited economic operators to approach local structures to benefit from available services. Tera reaffirmed the institution's willingness to support enterprises in their endeavors and meet their needs. He encouraged enterprises to work closely with the CCI-BF to ensure the program's success.
The success of the program will be evaluated based on concrete results, including the emergence of new, productive, and competitive industrial units, job creation, particularly for young people and women, and market conquest at the national, sub-regional, and international levels. The CCI-BF and its partners are expected to work together to ensure the program's success and achieve its objectives.
