On Friday, October 2, 2026, Burkina Faso's President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, and Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo visited a government exhibition at the Salon international de l'artisanat de Ouagadougou (SIAO). This event is part of the second phase of the Journées nationales d'engagement patriotique et de participation citoyenne (JEPPC). The exhibition features 28 stands showcasing the main achievements, reforms, and actions undertaken by various ministerial departments and institutions for the benefit of the population.
The visit allowed the Head of State and the Head of Government to familiarize themselves with the presented content and exchange with the representatives of the exhibiting structures. At the Prime Minister's office, the Prime Minister's cabinet director, Mamadou Dembélé, presented the main actions conducted by the Government. On this occasion, the Prime Minister handed over a copy of the Annales de la Primature, edition 2025, to the President.
According to Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, the exhibition goes beyond a simple institutional presentation. It also aims to foster direct dialogue between government members and citizens, particularly through scheduled meetings at the various stands. The Prime Minister invited the population to visit the SIAO to discover the exhibited achievements and better inform themselves about the actions undertaken by the public authorities.
The exhibition presents the main realizations, reforms, and actions undertaken by the different ministerial departments and institutions. These actions are aimed at benefiting the populations. The event provides an opportunity for the government to showcase its efforts and engage with the citizens.
The Prime Minister emphasized that this initiative could be replicated in the regions and provinces of Burkina Faso. This would help strengthen the connection between public institutions and the population. The exhibition is considered a pilot experience.
The President and Prime Minister's visit to the exhibition demonstrates the government's commitment to transparency and citizen engagement. The event allows for a direct exchange between the government and the citizens, promoting a better understanding of the actions undertaken by the public authorities.
