The Burkinabe National Social Security Fund (CNSS) is pursuing its digitalization drive with a training session for employers in Bobo-Dioulasso on the use of its e-CNSS platform. This initiative aims to enhance the appropriation of this digital tool and facilitate administrative procedures for employers. According to Aïcha Congo/Dem, head of the collection division at CNSS Bobo-Dioulasso, the training is designed to support employers in mastering the new platform.
The e-CNSS platform is structured around two main sections: one for employers and the other for insured individuals, namely workers affiliated with the CNSS. The employer section allows for online administrative procedures related to social obligations, while the insured section enables workers to request benefits and access information about their situation. Insured individuals can request family benefits, work accident benefits, or old-age benefits and track their professional careers.
The CNSS aims to reduce physical visits, save time, and facilitate administrative procedures through the e-CNSS platform. According to Aïcha Congo/Dem, the platform allows employers to perform certain procedures remotely that previously required a physical visit to CNSS offices. This digitalization is expected to reduce costs and risks associated with travel while enabling employers to save time.
For this initial training phase, the CNSS has prioritized large employers who have already subscribed to the platform. The objective is to progress gradually to integrate other categories of employers. Trained participants are expected to act as relays for other companies, sharing their experience and contributing to better appropriation of the platform.
The training, led by Stéphane Léonce Sou, head of employer control services at CNSS, focuses on practical aspects. Participants work on the test version of the platform, called "e-CNSS Test," which allows them to practice procedures before actual use. The CNSS aims for trained employers to begin making online declarations starting the following month.
Employers have welcomed the initiative, describing it as "well-timed" and beneficial for facilitating procedures and reducing travel. Hamadou Gadiaga, head of the human resources and legal affairs department at Service universel, notes that the platform could improve personnel file management and ensure more efficient updating of worker information.
The CNSS plans to provide online support after the training, and participants are encouraged to ask questions to master the tool. With this training, the CNSS aims to accelerate the appropriation of e-CNSS and enhance the efficiency of administrative procedures for employers and insured individuals.
