The Burkinabé government, through the Cabinet africain pour le développement et l’efficacité professionnelle (Cadep) and the Direction de la communication de la Présidence du Faso, has trained 153 messengers to promote the Revolutionary Progressive Popular (RPP) movement. The training, which took place in Ouagadougou, was attended by the Prime Minister, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo. The messengers were trained on three main modules: the foundations of the RPP, cultural rearmament, and managing the challenges of the revolution.
The training program aimed to equip the messengers with the skills and knowledge needed to promote the RPP movement effectively. The Prime Minister, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, urged the messengers to be men and women of conviction, emphasizing that they have a crucial role to play in promoting the RPP movement. He encouraged them to explain, convince, and enlighten the population in an accessible language, adapting their message to different audiences, particularly the youth.
The messengers, comprising students, civil servants, deputies, and artists, were tasked with promoting the RPP movement in various localities across Burkina Faso. The program coordinator, Bienvenue Hounkponou, noted that the initiative aims to enable women, girls, and sons of Burkina Faso to promote the RPP message. He emphasized that the messengers must demonstrate dignity and commitment to their mission.
One of the trainers, Abdoul Niang, expressed satisfaction with the participants' engagement, citing their eagerness to learn and ask questions. He noted that the participants showed a strong willingness to contribute to the RPP movement, recognizing the significance of their mission for Burkina Faso and Africa.
The messengers received the RPP manifesto during the closing ceremony and pledged to work tirelessly to fulfill their mission. Alassane Savadogo, speaking on behalf of the messengers, expressed gratitude to the authorities and committed to upholding the values of the RPP movement. The Prime Minister emphasized that this first cohort is just the beginning of a larger process, with more cohorts expected to be trained to expand the network of messengers across the country.
The RPP movement, led by the Burkinabé government, aims to promote a revolutionary progressive agenda, focusing on cultural rearmament, and social and economic development. The training program is part of a broader effort to engage citizens in the promotion of the RPP movement and its values.
