Nigerian construction technology company Bettabuilder has launched a digital marketplace aimed at transforming access to construction professionals, suppliers, equipment providers, and service partners across the country's built environment sector. The platform was unveiled during a press conference at LCCI Conference Hall, Alausa, Lagos. Bettabuilder's marketplace seeks to address longstanding challenges in Nigeria's construction and real estate industries.

The digital marketplace brings together contractors, artisans, architects, engineers, suppliers, equipment providers, and construction companies on a single platform. It uses a location-based approach to help users identify professionals and services relevant to their projects. According to Bettabuilder's Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Oladotun Oladapo, the marketplace was developed from practical industry experiences to make construction processes more organised, accessible, and efficient.

The platform is designed to serve homeowners, property developers, facility managers, individuals planning construction projects, and Nigerians in the diaspora seeking to manage projects remotely. Oladapo stated that the problem the company is solving is not simply about technology, but about making construction connections easier, more structured, and more accessible. The launch of the marketplace has garnered support from industry experts and stakeholders.

Legal and industry experts have stressed the need for professionalism, proper documentation, and greater accountability within Nigeria's construction ecosystem. Omoruyi Edoigiawerie, Founder and Lead Partner of E and C Legal, highlighted the importance of legal compliance, structured processes, and responsible engagement among stakeholders in the real estate sector. Engr. Sam Okosun emphasised the need for project owners to engage qualified professionals.

Engr. Okosun warned against the risks associated with executing construction projects without the right expertise, describing improved connections between clients and competent professionals as critical to developing a more organised and reliable construction industry. The launch also featured discussions on possible collaboration opportunities in heavy construction equipment solutions with Mr Alvin Cheng of San Group.

The proposed partnership aims to create a platform where construction professionals and businesses can gain easier access to machinery while equipment providers connect with potential users requiring heavy-duty solutions for their projects. Bettabuilder described the marketplace as a construction and real estate solutions ecosystem built around technology, industry expertise, and practical experience.

The company aims to expand its professional network and create a trusted environment where clients can access quality construction services while industry professionals gain increased visibility and business opportunities. With the launch, Bettabuilder joins a growing movement to leverage technology in addressing inefficiencies within Nigeria's construction sector and improving the way stakeholders connect, collaborate, and deliver projects.
