Benin's Union progressiste le Renouveau (UP le Renouveau) will hold an ordinary session of its political bureau and a national council session on November 14. The party's secretary general, Gérard Gbénonchi, announced the sessions during a press conference at the party's national headquarters on October 29. The sessions will bring together approximately 300 members of the political bureau and 500 members of the national council.

The sessions will enable the concerned bodies to examine issues within their purview and continue implementing the party's statutory provisions. UP le Renouveau is also pursuing the consolidation of its territorial organization by setting up cells, sub-sections, sections, and electoral district coordinations. This approach aims to strengthen militant cohesion, improve information circulation, and bring party structures closer to the population.

UP le Renouveau is operationalizing 15 permanent technical commissions, with their presidents installed on October 22. Consultations are underway to designate rapporteurs and secretaries before finalizing their bureaus. These commissions are expected to enhance the party's analysis and proposal capabilities, particularly on economic, social, institutional, and political issues. They will contribute to the party's strategic thinking and policy proposals.

The party is also engaged in the process of designating village and city quarter chiefs, with over 3,000 local leaders concerned. Gérard Gbénonchi stated that the choices consider the final results of the last municipal elections, post-election judicial decisions, and party direction orientations. The process aims to be conducted in a spirit of consultation, taking into account local realities.

The designation of village and city quarter chiefs is part of the party's efforts to strengthen its base following the recent municipal elections. The lists of selected leaders will be made public after necessary diligence and arbitration. UP le Renouveau expects its leaders to demonstrate competence, integrity, discipline, and concrete results, particularly in improving services to citizens and addressing population concerns.

Beyond its internal organization, UP le Renouveau aims to continue contributing to national governance through its members in government, the National Assembly, and communal executives. The party expects its leaders to meet certain standards, including delivering concrete results. The November 14 statutory sessions will be significant institutional milestones for the party, which is also restructuring its organs and strengthening its territorial presence.

The upcoming sessions will review the party's progress and set new directions. UP le Renouveau's efforts to consolidate its organization and enhance its contribution to national governance are ongoing. The party's leadership is focused on ensuring that its structures are effective and responsive to the needs of its members and the broader population.
