In the village of Elibou, commune of Sikensi, Côte d'Ivoire, beneficiaries of social safety nets have expressed their gratitude to President Alassane Ouattara for his role in empowering them economically. The beneficiaries, organized into an Association de valorisation d'entraide communautaire (AVEC), acknowledged the President's "Côte d'Ivoire solidaire" policy, which has enabled them to become a "pillar of economic" growth.

The beneficiaries, led by their spokesperson, Dogoré Dagba Sylver, praised the President during a ceremony held on October 8, 2026, in the village's public square. The event was attended by the event's patron, Miss Belmonde Dogo, co-patron Pierre N'Gou Dimba, and the prefect of the Agneby-Tiassa region, Coulibaly Sihindou.

According to Dagba, the monthly monetary transfers from the social safety nets and the benefits generated by the AVEC have allowed members to engage in daily activities, supporting themselves and their families. He stated that the President's initiative has enabled them to create income-generating activities, send their children to school, save money, and finance their own projects.

Marie France Adiemé, president of the event's organizing committee, described the beneficiaries' testimonies as proof of a "silent economic and social miracle" initiated by the President. This miracle, she emphasized, has allowed Elibou's women to break free from poverty and fatalism.

N'Gata Brié Joseph, the deputy mayor of Sikensi, echoed Adiemé's sentiments, inviting his constituents to regularly express their gratitude to the President for his development initiatives in the department.

Belmonde Dogo, the event's patron, was moved by the beneficiaries' testimonies and noted that the social safety nets and AVEC embody the President's vision of a solidary Côte d'Ivoire. She encouraged the people of Elibou and Sikensi to remain confident in the President's projects.

Pierre Dimba, the co-patron, reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the dynamic of empowerment and local development, led by the Agneby-Tiassa regional council, which he presides over. A total of 221 beneficiaries, grouped into four AVEC, have mobilized over five million FCFA in savings.
