The Bayelsa State chapter of the Tinubu Support Group has called for unity among political stakeholders, groups, and individuals across Nigeria to support President Bola Tinubu's bid for a second term in office in 2027. The group stated that Tinubu's re-election project had transcended partisan politics, urging stakeholders to close ranks and unite for a national assignment.
The State Coordinator of TSG, Engr. Preye Aganaba, made the call in a statement issued on Wednesday and signed by the group's Director of Media, Udengs Eradiri. Aganaba welcomed the emergence of various coalitions, alliances, and political groups around Tinubu's 2027 bid, stressing that their participation would strengthen the re-election effort.
According to Aganaba, Tinubu's return to office was in the interest of stakeholders, arguing that the administration had confronted major economic challenges while laying a solid foundation for the country's future. He expressed optimism that the country would become brighter, more prosperous, and economically formidable under Tinubu's second term.
Aganaba also welcomed the interest being expressed by political coalitions and other political parties in Tinubu's second-term project, saying the development was beneficial to both the All Progressives Congress and the country. He stated that the Tinubu re-election project was generating massive support from people of all walks of life despite their party orientations.
The Bayelsa TSG, under Aganaba's leadership, is ready to accommodate and work with supporters of the President within and outside the APC. Aganaba said the group had opened its arms to receive and work with everybody within and outside the APC for the singular objective of re-electing President Tinubu.
Aganaba urged stakeholders to sheathe their swords, remain calm, and own their spaces in the Tinubu campaign train, which he described as big enough to accommodate everybody. He maintained that the Bayelsa chapter of the group would continue to engage stakeholders and mobilise support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The TSG coordinator said the President's re-election project had risen above conspiracies, plots, and political scheming, urging stakeholders to focus on the broader objective.
