In his goodwill message to commemorate Nigeria's 66th Independence Anniversary, the Governor congratulated Nigerians at home and abroad, acknowledging their resilience and enduring spirit.
The Governor's message, issued by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, emphasised the significance of the anniversary as an opportunity for Nigerians to celebrate their country's freedom and reflect on its journey since independence. He appreciated the sacrifices of past generations and renewed the commitment to building a united, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria.
The Governor acknowledged the economic and social pressures facing families and communities, particularly the rising cost of living, and noted that these challenges should not erode people's hope or confidence in the future. The Bauchi State Government, he said, remains committed to improving citizens' quality of life through sustained investment in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, water supply, economic empowerment, and urban and rural development.
