Barloworld Equipment Zambia Ltd, a leading provider of earthmoving equipment, materials handling, and power systems in Southern Africa, is currently recruiting a Senior Security Site Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing all security operations at the company's Lusaka site, ensuring the safety of personnel, protection of assets, and compliance with security procedures. The role involves supervising security teams, managing incidents, mitigating risks, and maintaining a secure environment.
The Senior Security Site Supervisor will be responsible for the successful Site Management of the Security Department. Key duties include supervising and leading on-site Security Officers, ensuring timely relief of officers and proper shift handovers, and maintaining a professional and disciplined security presence at all times. The ideal candidate should have a full grade 12 certificate, a degree or diploma in Security Management or equivalent, and at least five years of work experience in a relevant role at a senior level.
The Senior Security Site Supervisor will also be required to ensure all officers are trained, understand their job descriptions, and comply with Barloworld Equipment's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and access control procedures. Additionally, the role involves monitoring adherence to standing orders, recording and reporting any short-posting incidents, and taking immediate control of any incident until formally handed over to the Senior Manager: Security Operations.
The successful candidate should possess excellent written and communication skills, be proficient in MS Office and computer literate, and have knowledge of a security evacuation plan, CCTV and control room operations, and physical security experience and knowledge. A driver's license and report writing ability are also essential requirements for the role.
