Egyptian academic institution Asyut University has announced a series of new appointments and renewals of academic leaders. The decisions, made by President Dr. Ahmed Abdel Moly, aim to support the academic structure and enhance scientific leadership. The Faculty of Commerce will see the renewal of Dr. Amal Ahmed Hassan Shalata's appointment as Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development until she reaches the legal retirement age. Additionally, Dr. Marwa Mohamed Abdel Monem Bakr has been assigned to act as Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research for a one-year term. Dr. Nesma Ahmed Hashmet has been appointed as the head of the Business Administration department.
In the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Naglaa Hussein Mohamed Tawfiq has been appointed as Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development for a three-year term. The appointments reflect the university's efforts to bolster its academic and administrative capabilities.
The Faculty of Social Service has welcomed Dr. Ragaa Abdel Karim Ahmed Farag as its new Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, also for a three-year term. Dr. Mohamed Mohamed Suleiman Mahmoud has been approved to supervise the Community Service department until a new head is appointed.
The Faculty of Sports Science has renewed Dr. Mahmoud Farouk Sabra's appointment as head of the Sports Health Sciences department for three years. These changes are expected to enhance the faculty's research and academic performance.
At the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and Studies, Dr. Taghreed Abdel Aziz Mohamed Ismail has had her secondment to supervise the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics department renewed for one year. Similarly, at the Institute of Materials Science and Nanotechnology, Dr. Marwa Abdel Aziz Ahmed Attallah has had her secondment to supervise the Biomaterials department renewed for a year.
