Asyut Governor, Major General Mohamed Elwan, emphasized the governorate's interest in expanding the establishment of new schools and developing the basic infrastructure of the educational system in various centers and villages. A new school, the Revolution School for Basic Education, was established in Kodiya Al-Islam village, Diyrotus center, at a total cost of 16 million and 360 thousand pounds. The school includes 11 classrooms, two for kindergarten, six for primary stage, and three for preparatory stage.

The Asyut branch of the General Authority for Educational Buildings, headed by Engineer Mostafa Abdel Fattah, continues to implement and monitor projects to establish new schools, expansions, replacements, and developments in various centers and villages of the governorate. This increases the absorptive capacity of schools and meets the needs of students in various educational stages.

Thirty-nine new schools and expansion wings are expected to open during the second semester of the current academic year in various centers and villages of the governorate. This will add new classrooms, increase the absorptive capacity of schools, and provide additional educational places for students as part of the state's plan to develop the educational infrastructure and improve services provided to citizens.
