Aswan University welcomed several high-ranking officials on Sunday, October 11, to celebrate the 53rd anniversary of Egypt's victory in the October War. University President Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mouli received the dignitaries, who included Governor of Aswan, Major General Mohamed Alwan, and Major General Sherif Said Saleh, Assistant Head of the Southern Military Region. Other attendees were representatives from the General Intelligence Agency and the Military Intelligence Office in Aswan.

The welcoming committee also included Colonel Mohamed Shaarawi, military advisor to the Governor of Aswan, and Captain Mohamed Badawi, director of the Military Education Department at the university. University leaders, including Dr. Gamal Badr, Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Mohamed Adawi, Vice-President for Community Service and Environmental Development, were also present to receive the guests. Other attendees were Dr. Shoukt Saber, General Secretary of the university, and Dr. Medhat Darwish, Supervisor General of Student Activities.
