According to Abd al-Rahim Sulayman, Director-General of the Arab Radio and Television Union, the organization is committed to promoting Arab-Chinese cooperation in the audio-visual sector. He noted that the sector is an important aspect of strengthening ties between nations and building bridges of cooperation.
Sulayman highlighted that several Chinese TV channels have started broadcasting Arabic-dubbed programs, while Arab channels have also begun broadcasting Chinese-dubbed programs. He considered these initiatives as significant steps towards elevating Arab-Chinese cooperation in the audio-visual sector.
The participants also discussed the importance of keeping pace with rapid technological advancements in the sector, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence. They emphasized the need for collaboration and knowledge-sharing to develop high-quality media content.
The Chinese initiative for global civilization, launched by President Xi Jinping, was also discussed during the session. The participants noted that the initiative offers opportunities for enhanced cooperation between China and Arab countries, particularly in the fields of cultural exchange and media production.
The session concluded with a highlight on the successful production of documentaries on China and Tunisia, which showcased the cultural and historical richness of both countries. The participants expressed hope that such collaborations would continue to flourish, leading to more high-quality media content that appeals to audiences in Arab countries and China.
