Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, the 2027 Oyo Central Senatorial District candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), has purchased 1,000 tickets for supporters of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) to watch their Nigeria Premier Football League match against Kano Pillars. The match is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

According to Ajadi, the initiative aims to encourage Shooting Stars players by ensuring they have a large and enthusiastic crowd behind them during the important home fixture. He stated that football remains an important tool for youth engagement, social development, and community unity, emphasizing that supporters play a major role in motivating players to perform at their best.

Ajadi expressed his delight in providing 1,000 tickets for the community to watch Shooting Stars play Kano Pillars, highlighting that this gesture is not just about football but also about supporting young people, encouraging local talents, and bringing communities together through sports. He added that Shooting Stars is a club with a rich history and a strong place in the hearts of the people of Oyo State.

The free tickets are expected to benefit football enthusiasts and supporters drawn largely from the 11 local government areas that make up Oyo Central Senatorial District. These areas include Atiba, Afijio, Ogo-Oluwa, Ona-Ara, Egbeda, Oluyole, Akinyele, Lagelu, Oyo West, Oyo East, and Surulere, as well as supporters from other parts of Oyo State.

Ajadi's gesture is also intended to promote peaceful participation in sporting activities and encourage more young people to develop an interest in football and other sporting disciplines. He urged the beneficiaries of the tickets to conduct themselves peacefully at the stadium and give maximum support to the Shooting Stars players throughout the encounter.

The initiative comes as Shooting Stars prepare to welcome Kano Pillars to the Lekan Salami Stadium, where the home advantage and support of the fans could provide an important boost for the Ibadan-based side. Ajadi expressed optimism that the match would provide an opportunity for football lovers across Oyo State to come together and demonstrate their passion for the Shooting Stars.

Ajadi appealed to everyone coming to the stadium through these tickets to support the team peacefully and responsibly, making the stadium a place of excitement, unity, and encouragement for the players. This move is expected to enhance the overall experience for both the players and the spectators.
