The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria and Overseas has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives in the Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash in Ondo State. The Society's National President, Prince Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem, conveyed condolences on behalf of the National Executive Council and the entire Ansar-Ud-Deen family. The incident occurred on Monday in the Igbokoda area of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, while the aircraft was conducting a routine mission from Benin to Lagos.

The Nigerian Air Force confirmed that 25 people were on board the ATR-42 aircraft, identified as NAF 931, comprising five crew members and 20 passengers. Unfortunately, no survivors were found. The Service released the names of those who died in the crash. President Bola Tinubu has ordered a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society commiserated with the families of the deceased, their colleagues and loved ones, as well as the leadership and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force and the wider Armed Forces. The Society described the incident as a painful loss to the nation, particularly distressing at a time when members of the Nigerian Armed Forces continue to make sacrifices in the service of the country.

In its condolence message, the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society prayed for the departed to be granted eternal rest and for their families to be given the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. The Society also paid tribute to members of the Armed Forces for their courage, patriotism and sacrifices in defending and securing Nigeria.

The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society called on Nigerians to pray for the nation and for all those involved in the recovery and investigation efforts following the crash. The Society expressed confidence that the relevant authorities would conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and take appropriate measures to prevent a recurrence.
