Senator Uche Ekwunife, the APC senatorial candidate for Anambra Central, has declared that Anambra State will overwhelmingly support President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 general elections. Ekwunife made this statement during a stakeholders’ meeting on Saturday at the Uche Ekwunife Centre in Awka. As the South-East Zonal Director of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, she emphasized her total commitment to the party’s success.

Ekwunife addressed local government and ward officials, assuring them that Anambra is fully prepared to deliver a massive victory for the APC across all levels of government. She urged party members to ignore the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and its popular slogan that claims “progressives are working together in Anambra.” Instead, she stressed that Anambra must align with the ruling party at the federal level to drive genuine progress.

According to Ekwunife, voting for Tinubu will allow him to complete vital developmental projects currently underway across the South-East. She stated that her interest and the interest of all APC candidates is to ensure that President Tinubu wins from top to bottom in Anambra. Ekwunife also praised regional leaders, including Minister of Works Dave Umahi and the governors of Imo, Ebonyi, and Enugu states, for making the APC proud.

Other party chieftains at the event echoed Ekwunife's absolute confidence in the APC's victory. Ben Nwoye, the APC Deputy National Chairman for the South, dismissed APGA’s messaging as a complete fallacy. He assured the crowd that the APC is on track for a dominant victory in 2027. Kingsley Ezekwelu, the APC candidate for the Idemili North/South Federal Constituency, reaffirmed his dedication to securing a record-breaking sweep for the party.

The meeting ended on a high note, with supporters unanimously passing a vote of confidence in both President Tinubu and Senator Ekwunife. The grassroots leaders pledged to immediately intensify their local mobilization efforts to guarantee the APC’s success in the upcoming elections. This development is a significant boost to the APC's campaign in Anambra State.

Ekwunife's declaration is a major indication of the APC's confidence in winning the 2027 general elections in Anambra State. The party is banking on the support of key stakeholders like Ekwunife to deliver a massive victory. The development is also a reflection of the current political landscape in Nigeria, with parties positioning themselves for the 2027 general elections.
