The Algerian province of Tizi-Ouzou has made significant strides in development, with 26 trillion centimes worth of projects implemented since 2000. This amount is equivalent to $4 billion USD. According to the province's wali, Abdelhakim Chater, these projects have been crucial in driving growth and development in the region. The wali made these remarks during a recent visit to the communes of Ouacifs and Ath Yenni.

The development projects in Tizi-Ouzou are part of the Provincial Development Strategy (PSD). In addition to the PSD projects, the province has also benefited from sectoral projects managed by various ministries. These projects include the construction of dams, highways, and hospitals. The wali emphasized that significant efforts are being made to promote development in the province. He cited examples of underground networks, such as electricity and gas supply systems.

The province has also received funding from the Fonds de Compensation des Charges Locales (FCCL). According to the wali, Tizi-Ouzou has benefited from 1,142 billion centimes in FCCL funding. He promised to address any shortcomings and ensure that the province continues to receive support. The wali also announced that more projects are planned for the current year, covering all 67 communes in the province.

During his visit to the commune of Béni Yenni, the wali discussed the issue of allocating presidential premises. He emphasized that the law is clear, and these premises are intended for young people who invest in projects under the support schemes. The wali stressed the importance of prioritizing these young investors and ensuring that the premises are used productively.

The wali's visit also included stops in the communes of Ath Yenni and Iboudrarène. In Ath Yenni, he inspected the rehabilitation project of the Le Bracelet d'Argent hotel, which is expected to be completed by the end of April. The wali also visited the construction site of a new sports hall, which is set to be completed by June 15. The project is valued at 20 billion centimes.

In Iboudrarène, the wali addressed issues related to presidential premises and housing projects. He instructed local authorities to accelerate the transfer of 53 presidential premises and to prioritize their rehabilitation. The wali also discussed the program of housing projects under the CNEP APC and LPA schemes. He emphasized the importance of allocating 20% of the projects to young promoters.

The wali's visit concluded with a stop in the commune of Aït Toudert, where he addressed the issue of monkeys causing problems in the area. He allocated 3 million dinars to address the issue, which will be used to feed the monkeys and install nets to prevent them from entering the area. The wali also announced an additional 10 million centimes in aid to the commune.
