The President decided to maintain the Hajj pilgrimage costs at 82 million centimes for Algerian pilgrims, despite an initial increase of around seven million centimes. This decision aims to alleviate the financial burden on pilgrims. Additionally, President Tebboune ordered the preparation of a presidential decree for secure digital connectivity between institutions, which will be supervised by the High Commission for Digitization.
The President announced reforms to the civil protection sector, including a general salary increase for its agents, via a revision of the indicative points. He also ordered a revision of the grade scale, adapted to the competencies of the corps and the missions of administrative and field personnel. Furthermore, the President emphasized the importance of continuous training throughout their careers to maintain team effectiveness.
President Tebboune instructed the government to acquire modern equipment, including drones, water-bombing aircraft, and surveillance posts, to enhance the civil protection sector's capabilities. He also proposed establishing a seasonal volunteer system within the civil protection agency, accompanied by a reinforced protection system for volunteers.
Regarding the 2025-2026 harvest season, President Tebboune ordered the immediate digitalization of agricultural payment systems and the preparation of a monthly bulletin on production rates and quantities. He also emphasized the need to combat all forms of malpractice in the agriculture, rural development, and fisheries sectors.
The President announced plans to prepare a more effective agricultural orientation law, which will include mechanisms for allocating cultivated areas to necessary products. He also ordered the launch of a national soil analysis program to identify and classify agricultural land nature in all cultivated areas.
