Algerian Interior Minister Saïd Sayoud has presided over the installation ceremony of Hamid Khelfaoui as the new wali of Ksar-El-Boukhari. The event took place on Monday evening, in the presence of local, security, military, and judicial authorities, as well as elected officials, regional notables, and civil society actors. This move is part of a partial reorganization within the governorate, approved by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

During the ceremony, Minister Sayoud conveyed President Tebboune's greetings to the local population, emphasizing the importance of national cohesion and a strengthened sense of responsibility. He highlighted the strategic significance of supporting the agricultural sector and enhancing national food security. Algeria has made notable progress in this area, achieving a wheat production of 43 million tons, which the minister described as a national challenge and accomplishment.

Minister Sayoud also reviewed major projects in the railway sector, including the Béchar–Tindouf–Oran line and the proposed Alger-Tamanrasset railway link. These projects aim to improve inter-regional connectivity and foster economic integration and development. The minister's address underscored the government's commitment to driving growth and enhancing the quality of life for citizens.

The housing sector is also experiencing significant activity, with various programs already implemented, others under construction, and new projects planned. This dynamic reflects the government's ongoing efforts to meet citizens' aspirations and improve living conditions. Furthermore, Minister Sayoud highlighted progress in compensating those affected by forest fires and the state's efforts to support them.

In his address, Minister Sayoud emphasized that these achievements demonstrate the government's resolve to continue building and developing the country, while reinforcing the foundations of national sovereignty. He stressed that national cohesion, collective mobilization, and responsible action are essential for Algeria's continued progress and prosperity.

Djillali Doumi, the wali of Médéa, noted that the appointment of a new administration marks a significant step in administrative and developmental work. This transition is characterized by a smooth transfer of competencies and responsibilities, reflecting the maturity of Algeria's administrative institutions. Doumi praised President Tebboune's decision, which he sees as a visionary move to invigorate local administration.
