The Algerian Agency for the Promotion of Investment (AAPI) has announced the awarding of 19 concession contracts for investment projects in four provinces. These contracts were issued through the agency's decentralized one-stop shops, which aim to support investors in implementing their projects. The awarded contracts cover various sectors, including industry, health, and tourism.

In the province of Annaba, 14 concession contracts were awarded for projects located in the Aïn El-Sid industrial zone and tourist expansion areas. The projects include the transformation of fruits and vegetables, production of mineral chemicals and electrical cables, and manufacturing of household appliances. Additionally, a wood processing and equipped kitchen manufacturing unit, a hotel, a leisure and entertainment center, and two four- and five-star hotels are among the approved investments.

The province of Bordj Bou Arreridj will host a large integrated complex specializing in aluminum manufacturing, situated in the El Ach commune's activity zone. Spanning eight hectares, the project is expected to create around 1,000 direct jobs. In El Meghaier, a concession contract was awarded for a medical clinic specializing in general medicine and specialized surgery.

In Batna, three concession contracts were awarded for projects involving the manufacturing of refrigeration chambers and equipment, production of greases, paints, and printing inks, and fabrication of various types of fertilizers. The AAPI stated that its decentralized one-stop shops will continue to support project proponents to facilitate investment implementation and contribute to local economic development and job creation.

The awarded contracts aim to promote economic growth, create employment opportunities, and develop local infrastructure. The AAPI's efforts to support investors and facilitate project implementation are crucial in achieving these goals. By providing a supportive environment for investment, Algeria aims to attract more investors and stimulate economic development.

The projects approved in the four provinces demonstrate the diversity of investment opportunities in Algeria. From industrial manufacturing to healthcare and tourism, the concession contracts awarded by the AAPI reflect the country's efforts to promote economic diversification and sustainable development.

The Algerian government has been working to improve the business environment and attract foreign investment. The AAPI's awarding of concession contracts is part of these efforts, aiming to create a favorable climate for investors and stimulate economic growth.
