Lucas emphasized the importance that her country attaches to relations with Algeria and the implementation of the outcomes of the visit by the former President of Mozambique to Algeria in 2024. She noted the progress made in cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including energy, industry, and pharmaceuticals.
Attaf also met with Cameroonian Foreign Minister Luc Magloire Mbarga Mbila to discuss various aspects of bilateral cooperation. The two ministers agreed to organize a joint Algerian-Cameroonian committee in the near future to identify priority sectors for cooperation. They also emphasized the importance of strengthening economic relations between the two countries.
Attaf also held talks with Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berbendsen to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of energy, security, and migration. The two ministers exchanged views on security and political developments in the Sahel region, emphasizing the importance of a comprehensive approach that combines development, security, and stability.
Finally, Attaf met with Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Anitta Orbán to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of education, renewable energy, and culture. The two ministers emphasized the importance of establishing a balanced economic partnership that responds to the interests of both sides. They also discussed the implementation of the partnership agreement between Algeria and the European Union.
