Maza finished ninth in the voting for the Kopa Award, a remarkable achievement that highlights his potential as a top player. The award ultimately went to Spanish player Lamine Yamal. Despite not winning, Maza's nomination is seen as a significant accomplishment, especially considering his young age and relatively short professional career. His performances with Bayer Leverkusen and the Algerian national team have caught the attention of football experts.
Experts believe that Maza has the qualities necessary to compete for top individual awards in the future. To achieve this, he will need to continue developing his skills at the same pace and potentially move to a top European club. Such a move could bring him closer to competing with the best players in the world. Maza's talent has already been praised by French footballer Ousmane Dembele, who described him as "the future of the Ballon d'Or".
Maza's market value has increased significantly in recent weeks, rising to €50 million. He was signed by Bayer Leverkusen from Hertha Berlin for €12 million. Despite his young age, Maza has already played 24 international matches for Algeria, scoring three goals. His performances have sparked interest from top clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, who are reportedly willing to pay his release clause.
Maza aims to lead the Algerian national team to victory and follow in the footsteps of Riyad Mahrez, who has won several individual awards, including the African Ballon d'Or. Maza is also targeting the African Ballon d'Or, which has been won by Algerian players such as Mahrez, Rabah Madjer, and Lakhdar Belloumi. Experts believe that Maza has the potential to reach the top of African football.
