The Algerian authorities have initiated the 2026-2027 agricultural campaign in Saida, under the theme of modernizing farming. The campaign was launched by Saida Province Governor, Amoumen Marmouri, alongside local civil and military officials. The event took place at the Ali Latli Mohamed farm in Mammaroura municipality. This year's campaign is part of the 33rd National Agricultural Guidance Day.

During the event, Governor Marmouri visited an exhibition showcasing various agricultural activities. The exhibition featured the Cooperative of Grains and Dry Legumes, which presented its capabilities and strategies for the upcoming season. The cooperative's director, Tawfik Aoulmi, highlighted the organization's readiness, including its equipment, personnel, and logistical arrangements. He emphasized the availability of seeds, fertilizers, and machinery.

The Saida province has made significant achievements in agricultural production. During the previous harvest season, the province yielded over one million quintals of various grain types. The Agricultural Chamber presented its efforts to support and train farmers, as well as the diverse products from the region's agricultural lands.

As part of the event, four concession contracts were awarded, enabling beneficiaries to obtain property ownership. Governor Marmouri stressed the importance of agricultural guidance in supporting farmers, transferring modern knowledge and techniques, and improving productivity. He highlighted the government's commitment to prioritizing agriculture and supporting farmers.

The Algerian government has been investing in the agricultural sector, aiming to enhance food security and promote sustainable agricultural practices. The authorities have been working to support farmers, provide necessary resources, and encourage the use of modern technology.
