The Governor of Constantine, Algeria, has ordered the delivery of 200 social housing units in July 2027. This decision was made during the commemoration of the 72nd anniversary of the outbreak of the Algerian War of Independence. The Governor also launched several development projects across various sectors, aiming to enhance the living conditions of citizens and strengthen public facilities.

Two housing projects, located in the administrative district of Ali Mangi, have been accelerated. The first project consists of 100 public rental housing units, with construction beginning on August 24, 2026. The Governor has set a deadline of 10 months for completion, with the aim of finishing the project by July 5, 2027. The second project, also with 100 units, began construction on July 29, 2026, and has a 12-month deadline.

The first housing project, covering an area of 7,008 square meters, has a total budget exceeding 3.75 billion Algerian dinars. It features 52 social housing units, with the Governor instructing a 10-month completion period. The project also includes a parking area for 41 cars, a children's playground, and commercial spaces.

In addition to the housing projects, the Governor launched a subsidized housing project, comprising 150 units and 37 commercial spaces. This project, located in the western extension of Ali Mangi, was developed by the Algerian Promotion and Real Estate Management Corporation. The project includes 106 apartments with three rooms and 44 apartments with four rooms.

The subsidized housing project has a specific pricing structure, with three-room apartments costing approximately 390 million Algerian dinars and four-room apartments costing around 490 million Algerian dinars. The Governor also inaugurated a multi-service clinic in the Ain Abid district, which was completed at a cost of over 2.6 billion Algerian dinars.

The clinic features eight major services, including reception and orientation, medical examinations and treatment, and laboratory services. Furthermore, the Governor launched a comprehensive renovation of a treatment room in the 5 July 1962 district, which was completed within two months.

These healthcare projects aim to strengthen the healthcare system and provide better services to citizens. The Governor's efforts focus on improving living conditions, enhancing public facilities, and promoting socio-economic development in the region.
