The Algerian army has arrested 4 individuals suspected of supporting terrorist groups in separate operations conducted across the country from September 23 to 29, according to a military report released on Wednesday. These items were being used for unauthorized gold prospecting. The army also confiscated quantities of raw gold ore and stones, as well as equipment used in these illicit activities.

In a separate incident, the Algerian authorities arrested 9 individuals and confiscated 2 pistols, 2 machine guns, 6 hunting rifles, 25,580 liters of fuel, and 16 quintals of tobacco.
