The "Excel Expo 2026" is scheduled to take place from October 7-10 at the SafiExpo exhibition center in Algiers, Algeria. Over 260 exhibitors are expected to participate in the event, which will cover an area of approximately 12,000 square meters. The expo will bring together institutions, startups, technology players, service providers, and professionals to showcase the latest developments in e-commerce, online services, and digital transformation.
The event has grown significantly since its first edition, which had 64 exhibitors. This year's expo is expected to attract a large number of participants, including startups that have chosen "Excel Expo" as a platform to showcase their services and discuss market trends, particularly in relation to Algeria's digital sovereignty. The expo's organizer, Shams Eddine Hebeboub, highlighted the importance of the event in promoting digital transformation and e-commerce in Algeria.
The expo will feature several conferences and workshops on topics related to e-commerce, digital services, logistics, and innovation. The event is being organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and Startups, the Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation, and the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education. Hebeboub emphasized that the expo aims to raise awareness among young entrepreneurs about the opportunities and challenges in the digital economy.
The event is expected to contribute to the development of Algeria's digital economy, according to Amina Bacha, Director of Communication and Marketing at Algeria Ventures. She noted that several startups supported or incubated by Algeria Ventures will participate in the expo, which will provide a platform for them to network with partners and access new markets.
Algeria Ventures will also participate in two sessions focused on "open innovation" and the development of startup incubation programs. Bacha considered the expo an opportunity to showcase Algeria's potential and opportunities in e-commerce and startup development through innovation.
The fifth edition of the expo will also feature the launch of the "ECSEL" card, which will be available to visitors and professionals in the sector. The card will provide access to offers and benefits from exhibitors and partners for six months. This initiative aims to promote networking and collaboration between stakeholders in the e-commerce and digital services sector.
The "Excel Expo 2026" is expected to be a major event in the region, attracting professionals, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders from the e-commerce and digital services sector. With its growing popularity and increasing number of exhibitors, the expo is set to play a significant role in promoting digital transformation and e-commerce in Algeria and the wider region.
