The second edition of the International Electricity and Renewable Energy Expo, "Electricity Expo 2026", will take place in Algiers from October 13-15. The event is expected to bring together around 60 exhibitors and feature a scientific and technical program, including panel discussions and specialized workshops on energy efficiency, digitalization, and the integration of renewable energies into electrical networks.
The expo is being organized by the Algerian Exhibition Company, a subsidiary of the Safax Group, in collaboration with MS Pub. The event will be held at the Palestine Pavilion in the Algiers Fairgrounds, located in the seaside town of El Mouradia. The expo aims to gather various stakeholders in the electricity and renewable energy sector, providing a professional platform for exchanging experiences and exploring the latest technologies and solutions.
This edition builds on the success of the first edition, which helped establish the expo as a specialized professional meeting point. The upcoming event will allow exhibitors, professionals, and visitors to discover the latest equipment and innovative solutions in the field. The exhibition areas will include electrical equipment and installations, solar energy systems and solutions, energy storage technologies, renewable energies, and sustainable solutions.
The event's scientific program includes two panel discussions on October 13, focusing on rationalizing energy consumption and controlling it, as well as the internationalization of Algerian companies. Experts and professionals will discuss the challenges and opportunities related to energy efficiency, enhancing the competitiveness of national companies, and exploring new prospects for their expansion into foreign markets.
On October 14, five specialized technical workshops will be organized, addressing the latest developments and challenges facing the energy sector. The workshops will cover topics such as grid-forming technology, micro-grids, energy efficiency in urban lighting, digital transformation in the energy sector, and time and frequency synchronization in electrical networks.
The workshops will bring together experts and professionals to discuss the role of grid-forming technology in ensuring the stability of electrical networks and increasing the integration of renewable energies. Other topics will include the use of micro-grids as a solution for integrating renewable energy sources, energy efficiency in urban lighting, and the digital transformation of the energy sector.
The "Electricity Expo 2026" will be open daily from 10 am to 6 pm at the Palestine Pavilion in the Algiers Fairgrounds, with activities scheduled to continue until October 15, 2026.
