The province of Oulad Jalal has initiated a comprehensive program aimed at enhancing its road network. The public works sector in the province has been allocated 379.3 billion centimes for the current year. This funding will be used to implement various projects, including the duplication of National Road 46, which connects Cheaiba to Bir Ennaam over a distance of 25 kilometers.
In addition to the road duplication project, the program also includes the maintenance of national and wilaya roads. Specifically, it involves the maintenance of national roads over a distance of 5 kilometers, along with the construction of two technical facilities. Furthermore, the program encompasses the maintenance of wilaya roads spanning 44 kilometers and the construction of four additional technical facilities.
The province's public works department has reported significant progress in the maintenance of National Road 46A. Over a distance of 5 kilometers, the project has reached the stage of laying down a bituminous concrete layer, following the completion of scraping works. Moreover, the maintenance of Wilaya Road 4A, which stretches over 9.5 kilometers from kilometer 28+500 between Bsebes and Ras El Maead, is underway.
The Oulad Jalal province is also investing in other critical infrastructure projects. The construction and urban planning directorate has allocated over 540 million Algerian dinars to implement projects related to roads and various networks in the southern urban expansion area of the province's capital. These projects aim to connect 1100 and 100 social housing units to essential services such as water, sanitation, and electricity.
The urban development and improvement projects are ongoing in several areas of the province. These initiatives include the renewal and paving of main and secondary roads, elimination of black spots to facilitate traffic flow and pedestrian movement, and the expansion and renewal of sanitation and drinking water networks.
The provincial authorities, in coordination with sector officials, are closely monitoring the implementation of public works projects and basic infrastructure facilities. The goal is to ensure that these projects are completed within the specified deadlines by setting a precise and trackable timeline.
The projects are part of a broader effort to enhance the living conditions of citizens in Oulad Jalal province.
