The Algerian government has taken a significant step towards expanding electronic payments in the country. The National Enterprise for Electronic Industry Technologies (INATEL) has obtained an agreement from the Economic Interest Grouping for Monetization (GIE Monétique) to install class V electronic payment terminals (TPE). This development is expected to accelerate the growth of electronic payments in Algeria. INATEL will now mobilize its teams and technical resources to distribute, install, and activate these equipment for merchants.

The agreement obtained by INATEL recognizes the competence of its executives and technical teams. It also expands the company's intervention capabilities in modernizing payment methods in Algeria. According to the company's statement, INATEL plans to mobilize the necessary human, logistical, and technical resources to accelerate the deployment of electronic payment terminals. The company's intervention will cover several stages, including the delivery of terminals, installation, activation, and training of merchants.

INATEL's new mission aims to contribute to expanding access to electronic payment solutions while ensuring the quality and effectiveness of the services offered. The company, based in the Tlemcen wilaya, is a public enterprise affiliated with the Elec El Djazaïr group. It operates in the electronic industry and digital solutions, particularly through the design of specialized products and integration of technologies for companies, public organizations, and large infrastructures.

INATEL's ambitions go beyond the national market, with the company seeking to expand its activities to African markets. In September, INATEL concluded an agreement with the Permanent Coordination of the Strategic Supervision Commission for the Kinshasa Extension Project (CSSPEVK) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This convention is part of a consortium that brings together INATEL, PGS Africa, and DABYAN.

The partnership between INATEL and the Congolese authorities aims to contribute to the realization of an integrated program in the fields of digital technology, industry, and technologies related to the construction project of the new city "Kinshasa Kia Mona". This operation follows a first commercial advance on the African continent, with the export of electronic payment terminals to Nigeria.

INATEL's expansion into African markets is part of its strategy to develop its electronic solutions. The company has previously exported electronic payment terminals to Nigeria and is now targeting new markets in Africa. With its new agreement, INATEL will be able to participate more directly in the installation of TPE and support merchants in Algeria.

The growth of electronic payments in Algeria is expected to benefit from INATEL's expanded role. The company's ability to install and maintain electronic payment terminals will help increase access to these services for merchants and consumers. INATEL's expansion into African markets also presents opportunities for growth and development.
