The experience of Algeria in the hydrocarbons sector is a significant contributor to the development of African energy cooperation, particularly through training, transfer, and exchange of expertise. This was stated by Fred Ghzali, President of the African Organization of Oil-Producing Countries (AOP), on the sidelines of the 14th edition of the Africa and Mediterranean Energy and Hydrogen Conference and Exhibition "Naback" in Oran.

Ghzali highlighted the vast experience of Algeria in various stages of the value chain in the hydrocarbons sector, noting that this experience is widely recognized at the continental level. He cited Algeria's historical role in developing the gas industry, as well as its capabilities in training specialized cadres and technicians.

The President of AOP mentioned that Algeria occupies a prominent position in the African training system in hydrocarbons professions, recalling that the task force launched by the organization to prepare an African guide for training in this sector is led by an Algerian expert. This initiative aims to establish a digital platform that brings together African specialized training institutions in the hydrocarbons sector.

The platform proposes a common training guide that covers various stages of the value chain, from exploration and geophysics to maritime transport. Ghzali emphasized that Algeria plays a significant role in this project, thanks to its experience and long-standing expertise in training.

This vision aligns with Algeria's efforts to promote South-South cooperation in the energy field, by sharing its expertise, training African skills, and developing structuring energy projects, such as the trans-Saharan gas pipeline, which is expected to contribute to achieving energy integration and economic development in the continent.

The 14th edition of the Africa and Mediterranean Energy and Hydrogen Conference and Exhibition "Naback" brings together experts and specialists in the energy sector to discuss the latest developments and trends in the field. The conference aims to promote cooperation and exchange of expertise between African countries and their international partners.
