Ouadjaout urged education officials to provide necessary conditions for exam centers, including sufficient teachers and supervisors. He emphasized the need to sensitize supervisors to the fight against cheating and to remind them of the judicial penalties for fraud or attempted fraud. The minister also noted that specific time slots will be dedicated to candidate orientation and psychological preparation.

The minister praised the efforts of the Algerian state in providing necessary prevention tools and means at exam centers for both the Bac and BEM exams. Over 637,000 candidates, including both schooled and free candidates, are expected to take the Bac exam starting Sunday. The exam will run for five days, and results are expected to be announced in late October. The minister reassured parents that exam questions have been elaborated based on lessons taught during the first two trimesters of the 2019-2020 school year.
