The Algerian Agency for the Promotion of Investment (AAPI) has announced the approval of 79 land parcels, covering a total area of 197.5 hectares, for economic investment in eight wilayas. This move is part of efforts to stimulate economic growth and attract investors. The parcels will be made available on the investor's digital platform, allowing interested parties to browse and select suitable lands for their projects.

The approval was made during the second ordinary session of AAPI's board of directors, held on October 5, 2026. The meeting, presided over by Abdelrazak Azab, president of the board of directors, also examined candidate projects for obtaining lands already proposed. AAPI's decision aims to provide new opportunities for investors and promote economic development in the country.

The eight wilayas concerned by the approved land parcels are Bordj Bou Arréridj, Médéa, Oran, Ouled Djellal, Relizane, Tindouf, Saïda, and Batna. However, AAPI has not disclosed the detailed distribution of parcels by wilaya or their individual areas. This information is expected to be available when the parcels are published on the digital platform.

To access economic land for investment, project holders must follow a digital procedure outlined by the regulations. They must consult available offers on the investor's digital platform, select the land corresponding to their activity, and provide required documents, including project characteristics, technical and economic studies, and financial capacity justifications.

The lands are granted under concession, convertible to cession under conditions provided by law, with a standard concession duration of 33 years, renewable. The attribution of lands remains subject to dossier examination and project selection by competent instances. AAPI's board of directors also approved 17 investment projects, allowing them to benefit from economic land.

Although no specific date has been announced for the publication of the 79 new land parcels, AAPI has indicated that it will be done soon on the investor's digital platform. Interested investors are advised to regularly check AAPI's official announcements and new land offers available on its portal for conditions, required documents, and application deadlines.

The approval of these land parcels and investment projects aligns with Algeria's efforts to boost economic growth and create jobs. In September, AAPI had awarded concessions for four new projects expected to generate over 1,300 jobs. The actualization of these opportunities depends on the publication of offers, candidatures processing, and attribution decisions.
