The Algerian Ministry of Vocational Training and Education has announced the launch of the second edition of its vocational training program 'San3a 2'. The program, which aims to provide Algerians with professional skills, opened for registration on October 10, 2026, and will continue until October 15, 2026. Registration can be done electronically through a dedicated platform.
The 'San3a 2' program is open to various age groups, starting from 15 years old, with no upper age limit, across all Algerian provinces. The program seeks to encourage enrollment in vocational specialties by providing practical training that allows for the development of capabilities and skills. This, in turn, opens up broader prospects for those seeking to learn a trade and acquire new competencies.
The second edition of the 'San3a' program includes six core vocational specialties: painting, architectural electricity, plastering and installation of BA13 panels, plumbing, welding, and refrigeration and air conditioning. Additionally, other vocational specialties may be determined by provincial vocational training and education directorates based on local specificities, needs, and available resources.
Each trainee in the program will receive 90 hours of practical training, following a pedagogical approach that focuses on field practice and direct supervision by specialists. The training sessions will be scheduled according to a calendar set by each provincial directorate, taking into account the circumstances of the beneficiaries.
The training sessions can be organized during the week from 4 pm to 7 pm, on Fridays and Saturdays, or according to another schedule during the week, depending on the local program. The 'San3a 2' program will run throughout the academic year, allowing for the organization of training courses according to the approved calendar and ensuring that training offers are expanded and made more accessible to various target groups across the country.
This initiative is part of the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education's efforts to make acquiring professional skills an opportunity for everyone, promote a culture of work and production, and enhance the value of craftsmanship as a practical option for building capacities and fostering a spirit of initiative.
The program's implementation aligns with Algeria's broader goals of developing its human capital and addressing the needs of the labor market. By investing in vocational training, the government aims to equip Algerians with the skills required to compete in the job market and contribute to the country's economic growth.
