Algeria has launched export convoys to neighboring countries, including Niger, Tunisia, and Libya, as part of efforts to boost economic cooperation and trade. The first convoy, which departed from the state of Adrar, carried 1050 tons of Algerian products, including dates, food salt, packaging materials, and cleaning products. This initiative aims to enhance trade exchanges with African countries and promote Algerian exports.

The export convoy to Niger, which consisted of 25 large trucks, was organized in collaboration with local authorities and several economic institutions. The products being exported are of high quality and meet the needs of the Nigerien market. This move is part of Algeria's strategy to diversify its exports and strengthen partnerships with African countries. The convoy's departure coincided with the celebration of Algeria's National Export Day.

Algeria's authorities have been working to promote exports and boost the national economy. The government has established a digital platform to address the concerns of exporters and created a fund to support exporters outside the hydrocarbons sector. The fund provides compensation for some of the costs associated with participating in international economic exhibitions and covers part of the transportation costs for exported goods.

The Algerian government has also invested in improving logistics to facilitate exports to African markets. This includes upgrading transportation infrastructure, such as the Tindouf-Zouerate road in Mauritania, which spans 773 kilometers and aims to create a vital land route to West Africa. Additionally, Algeria has strengthened its maritime and air transportation links with neighboring countries.

Another export convoy was launched from the state of Oum El Bouaghi, carrying 1800 tons of cement to Tunisia and Libya. The convoy also included shipments of packaging materials. This initiative was part of a national effort to promote exports and celebrate Algeria's National Export Day. Several economic institutions and companies participated in the event, including the Algerian Cement Company and the packaging materials manufacturer, CBP.

The Algerian Cement Company, which operates in the city of Sigus, has been actively involved in export activities. The company has exported 350,000 tons of cement so far this year and 950,000 tons last year to various countries, including Tunisia, Libya, Mauritania, and European nations. The company's production capacity is 2 million tons of cement per year, and it aims to expand its exports to new markets in Africa and beyond.

Other Algerian companies, such as CBP, which specializes in packaging materials, and Sany Plast, which produces medical plastics, have also been involved in export activities. These companies have been exporting goods to countries in Africa and Europe, contributing to Algeria's efforts to boost its exports and promote economic growth. The government's support for exporters and the improvement of logistics infrastructure are expected to further enhance Algeria's trade with neighboring countries.
