The yellow alert, which is valid from 9 am to midnight on October 2, affects 29 wilayas, including Sidi Bel Abbès, Souk Ahras, Tipaza, Tissemsilt, Laghouat, Relizane, Béjaïa, Tiaret, Guelma, In Salah, Tizi Ouzou, Djanet, Aïn Témouchent, Illizi, Tlemcen, Constantine, Skikda, El Bayadh, El Meghaier, Jijel, Aïn Defla, Biskra, El Tarf, Saïda, Naâma, Mascara, Ouled Djellal, and Blida.

The Algerian Protection Civil has reported that 21 fires have been recorded across the country, with 18 already extinguished. Three fires are still active, including a forest fire in Skikda and fires affecting hay bales in Sétif and Tiaret. The Protection Civil has also reported fires affecting vegetation, agricultural crops, and palm groves in several regions.

The fires have been reported in several regions, including Béjaïa, where a fire of broussailles was reported, Aïn Defla, where a fire of hay bales was reported, and Biskra, where a fire in a palm grove was reported. The Protection Civil is working to extinguish the remaining fires and prevent further outbreaks.

The unstable weather is expected to continue in the coming days, with residents advised to remain cautious and take necessary precautions. The ONM will continue to monitor the weather situation and issue updates as necessary.

The government has urged residents to be vigilant and report any fires or other hazards to the authorities immediately. The situation is being closely monitored, and emergency services are on standby to respond to any incidents.
