Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AIPA) Director-General Omar Rekache met with Russian-Algerian Business Council Chairman Ahmed Azimov to explore opportunities for strengthening economic and investment ties between Algeria and Russia. The meeting, held via video conference, was attended by Algerian Ambassador to Russia Toufik Jouaami. This discussion aims to enhance economic cooperation and investment between the two nations, following the outcomes of the 13th Algerian-Russian Joint Committee held in Moscow from June 24 to 26.

The meeting focused on developing a joint action plan to promote investment opportunities in Algeria and improve communication between AIPA and the business sector. This initiative seeks to attract investments and implement high-value-added projects. Both parties also discussed preparations for an Algeria Day event on the sidelines of the Africa-Russia Summit and its accompanying Economic Forum, scheduled for October in Moscow. This event aims to showcase Algeria's investment opportunities.

During the meeting, Rekache highlighted various sectors with significant potential for cooperation, including agriculture, energy, renewable energies, industry, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. He emphasized AIPA's readiness to support investors and facilitate project implementation.
